2) some adj. 一些，幾個，常用于肯定句中。

辨析：some與any
some和any都有“一些”之意，都可修飾復(fù)數(shù)
名詞與不可數(shù)名詞，表示不定的數(shù)量及程度。
some用于肯定句中，在請求、建議的疑問句中也用some。
any常用于否定、疑問句中。

3. Now something new is growing at the top of the stem.
現(xiàn)在在莖的頂端正長著一種新的東西。
1) something new 新的東西。every, some, any, no與one, body, thing組合起來的詞叫不定代詞。不定代詞做主語，謂語動詞用第三人稱單數(shù)。當不定代詞帶有形容詞時，形容詞放后面，做后置定語。

2) at the top of 在頂部/頂端，其反義短語是at the bottom of 在底部。on (the) top of 在高處，反義短語是at the foot of 在腳下。
