構(gòu)詞法（Ⅱ）
一、派生詞
派生詞是指在一個(gè)單詞的前面或后面加一個(gè)詞綴而形成的新詞。
1.前綴
(1)常用的表示否定意義的前綴有：dis、im、in、mis、non、un等，在單詞的前面加這類前綴常構(gòu)成與該詞意義相反的新詞。例詞：appear(出現(xiàn))→disappear(消失)；possible(可能的)→impossible(不可能的)；correct(正確的)→incorrect(不正確的)；lead(帶領(lǐng))→mislead(誤導(dǎo))；stop(停下)→nonstop(不停的)；happy(快樂的)→unhappy(不快樂的)。
(2)常用的表示其他意義的前綴有：a(多構(gòu)成表語形容詞)、 en (加在某些名詞或形容詞前構(gòu)成及物動(dòng)詞)、 inter (互相), re (再、又)等。例詞：alone單獨(dú)的；asleep 睡著的；encourage 鼓勵(lì)；international 國際的；review 復(fù)習(xí)。
2.后綴
(1)加在某些動(dòng)詞之后，構(gòu)成名詞的后綴有：ment、ing、er、or、ion、ation、sion。例詞：develop(發(fā)展)→development(發(fā)展)；meet(遇見)→meeting(會(huì)議)；read(閱讀)→reader(讀者)；act(表演)→actor(男演員)；invent(發(fā)明)→invention(發(fā)明)；explain(解釋)→explanation(解釋)；provide(提供)→provision(供應(yīng)物)。
(2)加在某些名詞之后，構(gòu)成形容詞的后綴有：ful、y、ly。例詞：care(小心)→careful(小心的)；wind(風(fēng))→windy(多風(fēng)的)；friend(朋友)→friendly(友好的)；week(周，星期)→weekly(每周的)。
(3)加在某些名詞后，構(gòu)成與該詞詞義相反的形容詞的后綴有：less。例詞：care(小心)→careless(粗心的)；home(家)→homeless(無家可歸的)。
(4)加在某些形容詞后，構(gòu)成名詞的后綴有：ness。注意：以y結(jié)尾的形容詞需變y為i，再加ness。例詞：dark(黑暗的)→darkness(黑暗)；happy(快樂的)→happiness(幸福)。
(5)加在某些形容詞后，構(gòu)成副詞的后綴有：ly。注意：以y結(jié)尾的形容詞需變y為i，再加ly。例詞：busy(繁忙的)→busily(忙碌地)；quiet(安靜的)→quietly(安靜地)；happy(快樂的)→happily(快樂地)。
二、轉(zhuǎn)化
轉(zhuǎn)化是在不改變拼寫形式的基礎(chǔ)上，由一種詞性轉(zhuǎn)化為另一種詞性，主要有：動(dòng)詞轉(zhuǎn)化為名詞、形容詞轉(zhuǎn)化為副詞、動(dòng)詞或名詞等。例詞：water(n.水)→ water(v.澆水)；plant(v.種植)→plant(n.植物)；fast(adj.快的)→fast(adv.快地)；dry (adj.干的) →dry(v.使變干)；green(adj.綠色的)→green(n.綠色)。
