1. Agriculture is all about growing plants and raising animals for food.
raise vt. 提高; 籌集; 養(yǎng)育, 種植, 飼養(yǎng)

辨析：some與any
some和any都有“一些”之意，都可修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞與不可數(shù)名詞，表示不定的數(shù)量及程度。some用于肯定句中，在請求、建議的疑問句中也用some。any常用于否定、疑問句中。

但在表示建議，反問，請求的疑問句中，或期望得到肯定回答時，多用some而不用any。

你要不要來點咖啡?

3. Now, something new is growing at the top of the stem. 1) something new 新的東西。every, some, any, no與one, body, thing組合起來的詞叫不定代詞。不定代詞作主語，謂語動詞用第三人稱單數(shù)。當(dāng)不定代詞帶有形容詞時，形容詞放后面，作后置定語。

2) at the top of 在頂部/頂端，其反義短語是at the bottom of 在底部。on (the) top of 在高處，反義短語是at the foot of 在腳下。
