Language points

1.be proud of  =take pride in 以……為驕傲

區(qū)別比較:

proud是形容詞性,pride是名詞性,be proud 

of和take pride in后面都可以加sth. 或doing sth.

區(qū)別就是在be和take上,一個是用be動詞,一個用的是動詞。

例:I’m proud of helping others when they are trouble.

我為自己能在別人有困難時幫助他人而自豪。

I take pride in helping others when they are trouble.

我為自己能在別人有困難時幫助他人而自豪。

Grammar 

狀語從句總結

狀語從句主要用來修飾主句或主句的謂語。一般可分為七大類,分別表示時間、原因、目的、結果、條件、讓步、比較,F(xiàn)分別將原因,目的,結果狀語從句分析如下:

1. 原因狀語從句

常用引導詞: because, since, as

I didn’t go surfing, because it was too cold.

我沒有去沖浪,因為太冷了。

As the car is expensive, we can’t buy it.

因為車太貴了所以沒有買。

Since he was busy, he didn’t come.

他太忙了所以沒有來。

2. 目的狀語從句

常用引導詞:so, so that, in order that 

We’ll sit near the front so we can hear the speaker better.

我們坐在前面,這樣可以更好地聽演講。

He sat in the dark so that he couldn’t be seen.

他坐在暗處,這樣的話不容易被發(fā)現(xiàn)。

3. 結果狀語從句

常用引導詞: so, so… that, such … that, 

He was so weak that he couldn’t walk on.

他如此虛弱所以不能走路。

He got up so early that he caught the first bus.

他起的如此早,這樣他就能趕上頭班車了。

It’s such a good chance that we must not miss it. 

這是一個很好的機會我們不能錯過了。
