動詞的時態(tài)
不同時間和方式發(fā)生的動作或狀態(tài)要用謂語動詞的不同形式來表示,這種表示動作或狀態(tài)發(fā)生時間和方式的動詞形式稱作動詞時態(tài)。
到目前為止,我們已學過英語中常用的六種時態(tài):
①一般現(xiàn)在時 ②一般過去時
③現(xiàn)在進行時 ④過去進行時
⑤一般將來時 ⑥現(xiàn)在完成時
①一般現(xiàn)在時
表示經(jīng)常性發(fā)生的動作、存在的狀態(tài)、日常行為、愛好、習慣性動作或客觀真理、科學事實等。
I go to school at 6:30 every morning.
我每天早上六點半去上學。
The girl sings very well.
那個女孩唱得非常好。

實義動詞第三人稱單數(shù)的變化規(guī)則
1. 直接在動詞后+s
like - likes play - plays
2. 以s, x, sh, ch接尾的動詞:+es
wash-washes
3. 以輔音+o接尾的動詞:+es
do - does go - goes
4. 以輔音+y接尾的動詞:變y為i+es

②一般過去時-動詞過去式變化規(guī)則
1. 一般在動詞末尾加-ed,如:pull-pulled, cook-cooked
2. 結(jié)尾是e加d,如:taste-tasted
3. 末尾只有一個元音字母和一個輔音字母的重讀閉音節(jié),應雙寫末尾的輔音字母,再加-ed,如:stop-stopped
4. 以“輔音字母+y”結(jié)尾的,變y為i, 再加-ed,如:study-studied
5. 常用不規(guī)則動詞過去式:
am/is-was are-were
do-did see-saw say-said give-gave

②一般過去時--用法
1.表示過去某個時間發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)。

I got up at six thirty yesterday morning.
My father wrote a passage yesterday afternoon.

2. 表示過去經(jīng);蚍磸桶l(fā)生的動作。
My father often went to work by bus last year.
When I was a child, I often listened to music.

Past continuous tense with‘while’ ,‘when’and‘as’
when, while和as這三個詞都有“當……時候”的意思。
While Mille was watching TV, her mum was sleeping.
米莉在看電視時,媽媽在睡覺。
I saw a traffic accident as I was riding to school this morning.
今天早晨我騎車去學校時看到一起交通事故。
Was he doing his homework when the teacher came in?
當老師進來時,他正在做作業(yè)嗎?

現(xiàn)在進行時可以表示將來的動作,同樣,過去進行時也可以表示從過去某時看來將要發(fā)生的動作。
