英語(yǔ)是一種結(jié)構(gòu)型的語(yǔ)言，動(dòng)詞在句型構(gòu)成中起著重要作用。
英語(yǔ)的句子以謂語(yǔ)為中心，前面是動(dòng)作的執(zhí)行者（被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)除外），后面接動(dòng)作的承受者。
