Language points
1. The number of ……的數(shù)量
the number of 后跟名詞復(fù)數(shù)，作主語時(shí)謂語動詞用單數(shù)。
例句：The number of wild animals has become less and less in recent years.
最近幾年里，野生動物的數(shù)量逐漸減少。
2. make a wish 許愿
wish 此處作可數(shù)名詞，意為“心愿，愿望，祝愿” 。
例句：It’s easy to make a wish, but it is difficult to make it come true.
許下愿望容易，要使愿望成真卻很難。
3. If he or she blows out all the candles in one go, the wish will come true.
本句為含有 if 引導(dǎo)的條件狀語從句的主從復(fù)合句。
主句用一般將來時(shí)，if 引導(dǎo)的條件狀語從句用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)表示將來，即“主將從現(xiàn)”。
4. come true （夢想、希望等）實(shí)現(xiàn)；達(dá)到
此句中come為系動詞，true為形容詞作表語。
