一、基本特征感悟
【感悟用法】
動(dòng)詞的-ing形式在句中作狀語，修飾謂語動(dòng)詞或整個(gè)句子，表示動(dòng)作發(fā)生的時(shí)間、原因、條件、結(jié)果、讓步或伴隨情況等。
①Turning around，I saw a car driving up.轉(zhuǎn)過身，我看見一輛車開過來了。
②Having sent her child to bed，she began to read the newspaper.
送孩子上床睡覺后，她開始讀報(bào)紙。
③Not knowing his telephone number，I couldn’t get in touch with him.
我不知道他的電話號碼，所以聯(lián)系不上他。
④He came running back to tell me the news.他跑回來告訴我這個(gè)消息。
⑤Having been shown around the factory，they were very happy.
被領(lǐng)著參觀了工廠后，他們很高興。

二、主要用法精講
動(dòng)詞的-ing形式(短語)可以在句中作狀語來修飾謂語動(dòng)詞或整個(gè)句子，用來表示動(dòng)作發(fā)生的時(shí)間、原因、條件、結(jié)果、讓步、方式或伴隨情況等。表示時(shí)間、原因或條件時(shí)，通常位于句子的前部；表示方式、伴隨或結(jié)果時(shí)，通常位于句子的后部。
1.作時(shí)間狀語，相當(dāng)于時(shí)間狀語從句
Hearing the noise，I turned round.＝When I heard the noise，I turned round.
聽到響聲我轉(zhuǎn)過身去。
2.作原因狀語，相當(dāng)于原因狀語從句
Being too young，he couldn’t join the army.＝Because he was too young，he couldn’t join the army.因?yàn)槟贻p，他不能參軍。
3.作條件狀語，相當(dāng)于條件狀語從句
Working hard，you’ll succeed.＝If you work hard，you’ll succeed.
努力工作，你會(huì)成功的。
4.作讓步狀語，相當(dāng)于讓步狀語從句
動(dòng)詞-ing短語作讓步狀語，相當(dāng)于一個(gè)讓步狀語從句，有時(shí)它的前面可帶有連詞although，whether，even if，even though等。
Admitting what she said，I still think that she hasn’t tried her best.
＝Although/Though I admit what she said，I still think that she hasn’t tried her best.
盡管承認(rèn)她所說的話，但我仍然認(rèn)為她沒有盡最大的努力。
