一、基本特征感悟
【感悟用法】
動詞的-ing形式在句中作狀語,修飾謂語動詞或整個句子,表示動作發(fā)生的時間、原因、條件、結(jié)果、讓步或伴隨情況等。
①Turning around,I saw a car driving up.轉(zhuǎn)過身,我看見一輛車開過來了。
②Having sent her child to bed,she began to read the newspaper.
送孩子上床睡覺后,她開始讀報紙。
③Not knowing his telephone number,I couldn’t get in touch with him.
我不知道他的電話號碼,所以聯(lián)系不上他。
④He came running back to tell me the news.他跑回來告訴我這個消息。
⑤Having been shown around the factory,they were very happy.
被領(lǐng)著參觀了工廠后,他們很高興。
【自我總結(jié)】
1.句①為現(xiàn)在分詞的一般式____________作狀語。當動詞-ing形式的動作與謂語動詞的動作同時發(fā)生或幾乎同時發(fā)生時,用一般式。

二、主要用法精講
動詞的-ing形式(短語)可以在句中作狀語來修飾謂語動詞或整個句子,用來表示動作發(fā)生的時間、原因、條件、結(jié)果、讓步、方式或伴隨情況等。表示時間、原因或條件時,通常位于句子的前部;表示方式、伴隨或結(jié)果時,通常位于句子的后部。
1.作時間狀語,相當于時間狀語從句
Hearing the noise,I turned round.=When I heard the noise,I turned round.
聽到響聲我轉(zhuǎn)過身去。
2.作原因狀語,相當于原因狀語從句
Being too young,he couldn’t join the army.=Because he was too young,he couldn’t join the army.因為年輕,他不能參軍。
3.作條件狀語,相當于條件狀語從句
Working hard,you’ll succeed.=If you work hard,you’ll succeed.
努力工作,你會成功的。
4.作讓步狀語,相當于讓步狀語從句
動詞-ing短語作讓步狀語,相當于一個讓步狀語從句,有時它的前面可帶有連詞although,whether,even if,even though等。
Admitting what she said,I still think that she hasn’t tried her best.
=Although/Though I admit what she said,I still think that she hasn’t tried her best.
盡管承認她所說的話,但我仍然認為她沒有盡最大的努力。
