1. Fantastic facts about the butterfly have been drawing Dr. Taylor’s attention. 這些關(guān)于蝴蝶的神奇的事實(shí)一直吸引著泰勒博士的注意。
draw one’s attention意為“吸引某人的注意”,attention是名詞,意為“注意”,為不可數(shù)名詞,one’s需根據(jù)主語做適當(dāng)變化。
The music drew the girl’s attention. 這首音樂吸引了小女孩的注意。
2. Here, as many as 230 million butterflies spend the winter. 在這里,多達(dá)兩億三千萬只蝴蝶過冬。
as many as意為“多達(dá)”,修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞。as…as意為“和……一樣”,為同級比較,中間要用形容詞或副詞的原級。其否定形式為not as/so+形容詞/副詞+as。
The film is as interesting as that one. 這部電影和那部電影一樣有趣。

3. The butterflies that return to the south are the great-great grandchildren of the butterflies that left for the north. 這些飛回南方的蝴蝶是春天飛往北方蝴蝶的曾曾子孫。

2)leave for意為“前往”,“leave+地點(diǎn)”則表示離開某地。
