unless，連詞，意為“除非，如果不”，引導(dǎo)條件狀語(yǔ)從句，相當(dāng)于if…not…
I will go for a picnic unless it rains tomorrow. 如果明天不下雨，我就去野餐。
One can not learn a language well unless one works hard. 學(xué)好一種語(yǔ)言非下苦功不可。
2. Well, it’s worth a try, even if I don’t find a planet. 不過(guò)，那值得一試，即使我沒(méi)有找到一顆行星。
1) worth形容詞，意為“值得的”，只做表語(yǔ)，后常跟名詞或代詞做賓語(yǔ)。be worth doing意為“值得做某事”。
The watch is worth 5 yuan. 這塊表值5元錢。
The book is worth reading. 這本書(shū)值得讀。
2) even if意為“即使”，相當(dāng)于even though，引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句，不能和but連用。
Even if you don’t like reading, you’d better read this book. 即使你不喜歡閱讀，你最好讀這本書(shū)。
