（1）adj. 鎮(zhèn)靜的；沉著的
搭配：keep/stay/remain calm 保持鎮(zhèn)靜
Try to remain calm. You can do this. 盡量保持冷靜。你能做到的。
（2）v. 使平靜；使鎮(zhèn)靜
搭配：calm（...）down（使 ……）平靜下來，（使……）鎮(zhèn)定下來

【詞語辨析】calm，still，quiet 與silent
（1）calm 表示人在危急情形中保持鎮(zhèn)靜；
（2）still 表示站、坐、躺的姿勢(shì)靜止不動(dòng)；
（3）quiet 表示人的外表安靜或性情穩(wěn)定；
（4）silent 表示沒有聲音，沉默，不講話。
【一言辨異】
