Language Points
1. cook 作動詞，意為“烹調；煮”
通常媽媽給我們做晚飯。
My mother usually cooks for us.
【拓展】作名詞, 意為“廚師”。
我叔叔是一位很棒的廚師。My uncle is a great cook.
2. study 作“學習”講時，是不及物動詞。
他們正在為英語考試而學習。 They are studying for the English test.
3. How’s it going? 情況怎么樣？
How’s …? 句型在問候語中用來詢問對方的情況。
答語常為：Great. / Pretty good. /Not bad./ Just so-so. 等。
你的學習情況如何？
How’s it going with your study?
【拓展】 表達問候還可以用 How are you? 進行詢問，答語常為“Fine, thank you.”。
這兩句話的重點不在于詢問，而在于問候或打招呼。
4. Sounds like you’re having a good time. 聽起來你玩得好開心。
這是一個省略句，相當于 It sounds like you’re …。英語It sounds like …與It sounds …句型近似，都表示“聽起來……；聽上去……”。這種省略的用法十分口語化，在日常英語會話中經常聽到。例如：
(It) Sounds like he’s all right now.
聽上去他現(xiàn)在病已經好了。
(It) Sounds like you had a good time on your trip.
聽起來你旅行玩得很開心。
5. take a message 捎個信
我可以給她捎個信嗎？
Can I take a message for her?
6. No problem. 沒有問題。
— 你會做風箏嗎？ — 沒問題。
— Can you make a kite?
— No problem.
