Language points

win the heart of sb. /win sb’s heart 意為“贏得某人的喜歡”。

lead sb. against … 表示“帶領某人反對…...”。

in the 1980s 意為“在20世紀80年代”，相當于in the 1980’s。

(1)as well as意為“并且，還”，用來連接兩個并列的成分，但強調的重點在前面。
e.g. Jim likes football as well as basketball.

(2)as well as連接兩個并列主語時，謂語動詞的單復數(shù)形式
要與前一個主語保持一致。
大明和他父母一樣也喜歡熊貓。
Daming as well as his parents likes pandas.
