本句用到一般過去時(shí)態(tài)。一般過去時(shí)表示過去某個(gè)時(shí)間發(fā)生的動(dòng)作或存在的狀態(tài)，過去習(xí)慣性、經(jīng)常性的動(dòng)作、行為和過去主語的性格和所具有的能力。
about在本句中的意思是“大約”，后面接數(shù)詞。以前我們學(xué)過的about的意思是“關(guān)于”。

year old的意思是“歲”，當(dāng)歲數(shù)大于一時(shí)，year old要變成復(fù)數(shù)形式，即：years old。

一般過去時(shí)態(tài)表示過去某個(gè)時(shí)間發(fā)生的動(dòng)作或存在的狀態(tài)，常和表示過去的時(shí)間狀語連用。
表示過去的時(shí)間狀語有：yesterday (昨天)，last weekend (上周末)，last year (去年)，just now (剛才)，two days ago (兩天前)，in 1996 (在1996年)等。
