1. Sad movies make me cry.
But that music makes me sleepy.
句中make作使役動(dòng)詞，意為“使得”。
That makes me mad!
這簡(jiǎn)直使我發(fā)瘋！
Her jokes made us all laugh.
她說的笑話把我們都逗樂了。
make作使役動(dòng)詞時(shí)，后可跟復(fù)合賓語。常用結(jié)構(gòu)如下：
（1）make +賓語 + 形容詞/名詞
（2）make +賓語 + 不帶to的動(dòng)詞不定式
The smell makes me sick.
這個(gè)味道讓我覺得惡心。
The book made me feel boring.
這本書讓我覺得無聊。
2. I’d rather go to Blue Ocean because …
(1) I’d rather 是I would rather 的縮寫形式。would rather意為“寧可；寧愿；更愿意”，后接動(dòng)詞原形，否定形式是would rather not do sth. 。

外面太冷，我寧可呆在家里。
(2) would rather do sth. than do sth. 意為“寧愿做某事，也不愿做某事”，相當(dāng)于prefer to do sth. rather than do sth. 。
They would rather go fishing than stay at home.

Mary would rather travel by train than by plane.
瑪麗寧可乘火車而不愿乘飛機(jī)旅行。
