1.express a difference 表達(dá)差異
express動詞，意為“表達(dá)，表示”，通常不接雙賓語。
他對她表示了他的歉意。
[誤]He expresses her his thanks.
[正]He expresses his thanks to her.
express 可接反身代詞作賓語，表達(dá)自己的意思、思想、感情等。
e.g.:Have I expressed myself clearly?
He is still unable to express himself in English.
difference此處為可數(shù)名詞，意為“差別；不同之處”，常用結(jié)構(gòu)為“the difference(s) between ...
and ...(……和……之間的差別)”。
e.g.:There are some differences between Lucy and Lily.
Can you tell me the differences between them?
【拓展】difference的形容詞形式為different,意為“不同的”，常用短語為be diffferent from...意為“與……不同”。
2.People like to go to this place especially in June as they want to see the sun rising on the longest day of the year.人們尤其喜歡在六月份去這個地方，因為他們想在一年中最長的一天看日出。
as此處為連詞，意為“由于，因為”，引導(dǎo)原因狀語從句。
e.g.:As it was late,I went at once.
【辨析】as,because與since
as意為“由于，鑒于”，主句與從句并重，從句說明原因，主句說明結(jié)果；because意為“因為”，語氣最強(qiáng)，回答由why提出來的問題，從句可放在主句前，也可放在主句后；since意為“既然”，側(cè)重主句，從句表示顯然的或已知的理由。
e.g.:As you don't feel well,you had better stay at home.
