Chinese Wedding 中國(guó)婚禮
Traditional Chinese wedding customs are considered as the foundation of rites (禮儀) in traditional Chinese culture. A wedding is usually a grand occasion (場(chǎng)面) with overly elaborate formalities.
中國(guó)的婚禮習(xí)俗是中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)禮儀文化的一大部分。中式婚禮場(chǎng)面正式隆重。
There are eight major procedures of a wedding, including proposal making, birthday matching, marriage divination, betrothal (訂婚) gifts presenting, wedding date fixing, dowry urging, welcoming the bride to the wedding and performing the formal wedding ceremony.
傳統(tǒng)中式婚禮有八個(gè)步驟，包括提親、生辰八字、納吉、過(guò)大禮、確定婚期、置辦嫁妝、迎親、婚禮儀式。
Chinese Funeral 中國(guó)喪禮
Chinese funeral rites and burial customs are determined by the age of the deceased (逝者), cause of death, status and position in society, and marital (婚姻的) status.
中國(guó)喪葬禮儀是按照逝者的年齡、去世原因、社會(huì)地位、婚姻狀況等方面來(lái)決定的。
When a death occurs in a family, all mirrors are removed. A white cloth is hung over the doorway to the house. During the wake (守靈), the family do not wear jewelry or red clothing. Traditionally, children and grandchildren of the deceased did not cut their hair for 49 days after the death.
逝者逝世，要摘除所有的鏡子。門廊懸掛白布。守靈期間，家人禁忌穿戴珠寶或者紅色衣服。按照習(xí)俗，逝世49天內(nèi)，子女晚輩忌諱理發(fā)。
