careful /'keəfl/adj.小心的;仔細的
eg:John was careful not to say anything about this to her.
約翰小心翼翼,沒有向她提及任何有關此事的事。
careful是名詞care的形容詞形式,常用于be careful結構中。當be careful單獨使用時,意為“小心”,相當于look out或take care。
eg:Be careful! There's a car coming here.
小心!有一輛小汽車開過來了。
careful常和介詞of,about,with搭配使用,意為“當心;留意;仔細”。
eg:You must be careful of/about your pronunciation.
你必須注意你的發(fā)音。

be careful in doing sth. 表示“做某事時要小心或仔細”。
