depend/dɪ'pend/ v.依靠；取決于
depend是不及物動詞，后面通常接介詞on或upon。
eg：You can’t depend on your parents forever .
你不能永遠依靠你的父母。
depend on的用法：
后接名詞或代詞
We shouldn’t depend on foreign countries for oil .
我們不應當依賴外國石油。
“depend on/ upon sb . to do sth . ”
意思是“指望某人做某事”。
You can’t depend on them to do it .
你不能指望他們做這件事。
