as...as...意為“和……一樣”，表示同級的比較。使用時要注意第一個as為副詞，第二個as為連詞。其基本結構為：as+ adj./ adv. +as。
例：This film is as interesting as that one.
這部電影和那部電影一樣有趣。
Your pen writes as smoothly as mine.
你的鋼筆書寫起來和我的一樣流暢。
其否定式為 not as/so +adj./ adv. +as
例：This dictionary is not as/so useful as I thought.
這本字典不如我之前想的那樣有用。
若有修飾成分，如 twice, three times, half,
a quarter等，則須置于第一個as之前。
例： Your bag is twice as expensive as mine.

until “直到”，表示某一種行為一直持續(xù)到某
一時間。用在肯定句中，句子的謂語動詞必須
是延續(xù)性動詞。例：They will study at the school
until their parents come to take them home.

他們踢足球踢到天黑。
not...until “直到……才”
表示直到某一時間，某一行為才發(fā)生，之前該行為并沒有發(fā)生。
用在否定句中，主句中的謂語可以是延續(xù)性的也可以是短暫性動詞。
例：I did not study English until 9 o’clock last night.
我咋晚到9點鐘才（開始）學英語。
