1.⑴ except (除了)和but(除了)的區(qū)別：except常用于肯定句中，but常用于否定句中。

除了卡片什么也沒(méi)有。
besides也是介詞，意思是“除……之外（尚有……）”,包括besides之后的內(nèi)容。
He also knows Japanese besides English.
除了懂英語(yǔ)，他也懂日語(yǔ)。（兩門(mén)外語(yǔ)他都懂）
Two other boys are on duty today besides you .
包括你在內(nèi)還有兩名男孩今天值日。（共三人）
⑵ make mistakes 表示“犯錯(cuò)誤”，強(qiáng)調(diào)錯(cuò)誤不止一個(gè)， 如強(qiáng)調(diào)只有一個(gè)錯(cuò)誤，可以表達(dá)為 make a mistake.
No one likes to make mistakes.
沒(méi)有人喜歡犯錯(cuò)誤。
Parents should let their children make mistakes
and let them learn from their own mistakes.
父母?jìng)儜?yīng)該允許孩子們犯錯(cuò)誤并且讓他們從

⑶ stupid表示“愚蠢的”，在英語(yǔ)中，還有很多詞表示類(lèi)似的意思。如foolish，silly等，區(qū)別如下：
stupid指“智力差的，反應(yīng)遲鈍的”

瑪麗犯了一個(gè)愚蠢的錯(cuò)誤。
He is very stupid in learning math.
他學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)很笨。
foolish指“無(wú)頭腦的，缺乏常識(shí)的，缺乏判斷能力的”
It was a foolish thing to fight with his neighbour.
和他的鄰居打架是一件蠢事。
He is foolish to throw away such a chance.
他真蠢，丟掉了這么一個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)。
It is foolish of you to say so (You are foolish to say so).你說(shuō)這話真蠢。
