The Bund
上海開(kāi)埠以來(lái),很多英文文獻(xiàn)開(kāi)始用The Bund表述原英租界的黃浦江灘。1876年《北華捷報(bào)》繪制的 “上海英美租界道路圖” 將英租界的黃浦灘標(biāo)示為“Bundor Yang-tsze Road”。但是直到19世紀(jì)70年代后期, 中國(guó)文人王韜仍寫(xiě)著“浦濱月色,最可娛人”的句子,可見(jiàn)“外灘 ”并不是Bund的對(duì)應(yīng)漢譯。
