我們可以發(fā)現(xiàn)動詞不定式的另外兩種語法功能：
①在“動詞+賓語+動詞不定式”的結(jié)構(gòu)中充當賓語的補足語
②在句中表示行為動作的目的，作目的狀語

動詞不定式
1.動詞不定式作賓語補足語
可用于“動詞+賓語+動詞不定式”這一結(jié)構(gòu)的動詞有很多，除本模塊出現(xiàn)的allow，choose等詞外，常見的還有：want, tell, ask, invite, help等。
She asked him to come to the party.
She wants me to go with her.
需要注意的是：
1）以上動詞接不定式作賓語補足語時，若要表達否定的意思，要在to do前加not, 構(gòu)成not to do的形式。例如：
Mr Han told us not to make too much noise.
韓先生告訴我們不要弄出太大聲音。
Jackie told me not to touch anything!
杰基告訴我不要碰任何東西。
2）有些動詞后接動詞作賓語補足語時，可以接不帶to的不定式，常見的這類動詞有：help, make, let, have, hear, feel, see等。例如：
I’ll have Tony show you around the school.
我會讓托尼帶你參觀校園。
His words made everyone laugh.
他的話讓大家哄堂大笑。
2. 動詞不定式作目的壯語
如果表示“做某事是為了什么”，可以用動詞不定式表示目的。例如：
We don’t want to lose tigers, elephants or any other animals, so the WWF is working hard to save them all.
在這種情況下，不定式既可以放在句首，也可以放在句尾。
Dylan trained hard to improve his basketball skills.
迪倫刻苦訓練以提高自己的籃球技能。
也可以說：
To improve his basketball skills, Dylan trained hard.
根據(jù)表達需要，動詞不定式還可以作原因壯語和結(jié)果狀語。
