[例句]
①This picture is more beautiful than that one.
這張照片比那張照片漂亮。
②He is more careful than the others.
他比其他人更仔細。
③ Tom draws more carefully than he did two years ago.
湯姆現(xiàn)在畫畫比兩年前更認真。
英語中一些多音節(jié)的形容詞、副詞, 其比較級形式是在該詞前加more。除了多音節(jié)形容詞、副詞變比較級要用more之外, 部分雙音節(jié)的詞, 如careful, tiring, boring, slowly等比較級也是在詞前加more。由此可見, 多音節(jié)形容詞及部分雙音節(jié)形容詞、副詞比較級的句式結(jié)構(gòu)為：
A + 謂語+ more + 多音節(jié)形容詞/部分雙音節(jié)形容詞/副詞+ than + B。

good / well →better bad / badly → worse
much →more many →more
little →less, far →farther / further
