一、名詞短語(NP)

That man over there is my chemistry teacher.(表語)

二、形容詞短語(AdjP)
形容詞短語是以形容詞為中心詞的短語,如:a little confusing(有點迷惑),quite quiet(相當(dāng)安靜)。形容詞短語在句子中一般做表語、定語、賓語補(bǔ)足語等。如:
The book is very valuable.(表語)
這本書很有價值。
There is nothing very perfect in the world.(定語)
世界上沒有很完美的事。
The good news made us very happy.(賓語補(bǔ)足語)
這個好消息使我們很高興。
