Language points
以 where 開(kāi)頭的特殊疑問(wèn)句：用來(lái)詢問(wèn)人或物在什么地方。
其結(jié)構(gòu)為：Where ＋ is / are ＋ 主語(yǔ)(人或物)？
回答時(shí)不能用 Yes 或 No，而應(yīng)根據(jù)實(shí)際情況回答出物品所在的位置。例如：
—Where are your keys? 你的鑰匙在哪里？
—They’re in my room. 它們?cè)谖业姆块g里。
“Where is＋單數(shù)主語(yǔ)，Where are＋復(fù)數(shù)主語(yǔ)”，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用is還是are取決于主語(yǔ)的人稱和數(shù)。如果主語(yǔ)是人，回答時(shí)用相應(yīng)的人稱代詞主格作主語(yǔ)；如果主語(yǔ)是單數(shù)物品，回答時(shí)用“It’s + 表示地點(diǎn)的詞”；如果主語(yǔ)是復(fù)數(shù)物品，回答時(shí)用“They’re + 表示地點(diǎn)的詞”。
例如：
⑴— Where is your English teacher?
你的英語(yǔ)老師在哪里？
— She is in the classroom.
她在教室里。
⑵ —Where are the pencils? 鉛筆在哪里？
—They are in the pencil box. 它們?cè)阢U筆盒里。
