be動詞
be動詞表示“......是......”�，F(xiàn)在時有am, is, are三種，其原形動詞都是be，所以把它們成為be動詞。
I am happy.
She is my classmate.
They are student.
定義
be動詞常與名詞、形容詞或其他此類一起表示主語的性質(zhì)、狀態(tài)、身份、特點等。be動詞的一般現(xiàn)在時有am, is, are三種形式，由主語的人稱和數(shù)來決定用那一種。
be動詞的一般現(xiàn)在時的構(gòu)成
1.肯定句: 主語+ be
I am thirteen years old. 我13歲。
We are classmates. 我們是同班同學。
Tony is a student. 托尼是一名學生。
2.否定句: 主語 + be + not + …
Tony is not a student. 托尼不是一名學生。
We are not classmates. 我們不是同班同學。
3.一般疑問句: Be +主語 +…?
肯定回答：Yes, 主語 + be.
否定回答：No, 主語 + be + not.
—Are you from America? 你來自美國嗎？
—Yes, I am./ No, I’m not.
是的，我是來自美國。/不，我不是。
4.特殊疑問句: 特殊疑問詞 + 一般疑問句?
Where are you from? 你來自哪里？
What’s your name?你叫什么名字？

Family name and Given name
In Chinese, the family name is first and the given name is last.
Family name(Last name) + Given name(First name)
In English, the given name is first and the family name is last.
