eg：There are four of us，so we cut the orange into quarters and each eats a piece.我們共有四個(gè)人，因此我們把橘子切成四等份，每人吃一份。

【拓展】分?jǐn)?shù)表達(dá)法：
分子是基數(shù)詞，分母是序數(shù)詞，當(dāng)分子超過一的時(shí)候，分母應(yīng)用復(fù)數(shù)，并且二分之一通常用a half，四分之一通常用a/one quarter，四分之三常用three quarters。
【注意】分?jǐn)?shù)修飾可數(shù)名詞作主語時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)；修飾不可數(shù)名詞時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。
eg：Four fifths of the people are working on the farm now.五分之四的人正在農(nóng)場(chǎng)工作。
②population名詞，意為“人口；人口數(shù)量”。表示某地區(qū)的人口時(shí)，要在其前加定冠詞the。
【注意】①population作主語，謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)形式。
②其前有分?jǐn)?shù)或百分?jǐn)?shù)時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)形式。
③詢問“人口多少”有兩種方式：
What's the population of...？
How large is the population of...？
④表示人口“多少”要用large或small來修飾。
chance可數(shù)名詞，意為“機(jī)會(huì)”，常用于以下結(jié)構(gòu)中：
have a chance to do sth.
＝have a chance of doing sth. 有做某事的機(jī)會(huì)
