這句話的主語是動名詞短語looking after us。單個v-ing形式短語在句中作主語時，謂語動詞要用單數(shù)。句中more than表示“不只是，多于”。例如：
He is more than a coach. He is a friend.

而且，我是個女孩。
what’s more表示遞進，“然而/還有…… ”的意思，獨立使用，既可以放句首，也可以放句中，what’s more后面加逗號。
