（1）when is+名詞所有格+birthday party?用來(lái)詢問(wèn)某人的生日聚會(huì)是什么時(shí)候。Sally's為名詞的所有格。名詞所有格表示“某人的”，其構(gòu)成規(guī)律為：
①一般在名詞詞尾直接加“'s”。
如：Li Ming's book李明的書
②若原詞已有復(fù)數(shù)詞尾-s,則只是在詞尾加 ’。
如：boys' clothes男孩們的衣服
③表示共同擁有時(shí)，只在最后一個(gè)名詞后加“'s”;表示各自擁有時(shí)，每個(gè)名詞后都加“'s”,被擁有的名詞是可數(shù)名詞時(shí)，用其復(fù)數(shù)形式。
如：Jim and Tom's teacher吉姆和湯姆的老師（共同的，一個(gè)老師）
Jim's and Tom's teachers吉姆和湯姆各自的老師（各自的，兩個(gè)老師）
（2）party n.意為“聚會(huì)，晚會(huì)”。
常用短語(yǔ)：at the party在生日聚會(huì)上 have a party舉行聚會(huì)

也可表達(dá)為“basketball match”（英式）。
