Language points
1. I was born in a small village in Shanxi Province.
was born意思是“出生”，born是bear的過(guò)去分詞，表示被動(dòng)意義。
“出生”當(dāng)然不是現(xiàn)在，是過(guò)去的事情，所以用過(guò)去時(shí)態(tài)。
同時(shí)，be的數(shù)隨主語(yǔ)變化。
如：They were born in 1989. 他們出生于1989年。
She was born on the 16th of April. 她出生于4月16日。
2. She was strict but very nice.
strict是形容詞，意思是“嚴(yán)厲的，嚴(yán)格的”。
表示“對(duì)某人要求嚴(yán)格”用 be strict with sb.，
而表示“對(duì)某事要求嚴(yán)格”用 be strict in sth.。
如：Our teacher is strict with us.
老師對(duì)我們要求很嚴(yán)。
