[歸納用法]
1．情態(tài)動(dòng)詞的基本特征
(1)在形式上，情態(tài)動(dòng)詞沒有實(shí)義動(dòng)詞的各種變化，只有could，would，had to，might等幾個(gè)過去式，其他情態(tài)動(dòng)詞如must、ought to等的過去式皆與現(xiàn)在式同形。
(2)在意義上，大多數(shù)情態(tài)動(dòng)詞有多個(gè)意義，如can可以表達(dá)“能力；可能；許可”等。
(3)在用法上，情態(tài)動(dòng)詞與助動(dòng)詞一樣，需后接動(dòng)詞原形，構(gòu)成謂語動(dòng)詞。
