3b Read the passage again and check the things that happened in the story.

Language points 

1.…Bus No. 26 was going along Zhonghua Road when the driver saw an old man lying on the side of the road.

1)過去進行時表示在過去某一時刻或某一時間內(nèi)進行或發(fā)生的動作。

其形式為was/were+ V-ing。常與表示過去的時間狀語連用。如:last night,last Saturday等;或與when,while,as引導的過去時間狀語連用。

2) when常常用來引出時間狀語從句,放在過去進行時構(gòu)成的主句后,表示某事正在進行時,另一件事情發(fā)生了。
