Language points
This is my sister.這是我的姐姐(妹妹)。
(1) This is.…用來介紹他人的常用句型,意為
“這是……”。介紹離說話人比較遠的第三者時,可以用“That is…”,意為“那是……”。當被介紹的人不止一個時,用“These are…”或“Those are…”來表達。these意為這些,是this的復(fù)數(shù)形式;those意為那些,是that的復(fù)數(shù)形式。
This is my friend Tom. 這是我的朋友湯姆。
That’s Jim. 那是吉姆。
These are my parents. 這是我的父母。
Those are my grandparents.
那是我的(外)祖父母。
(2)在打電話用語中,This is...表示“我是……”,用于介紹自己。
► Hello, this is Lingling speaking.你好,我是玲玲。
(3)“That is”可以縮寫成“That’s”,但是This is, these are和Those are均不能縮寫。
Who’s he? 他是誰?
(1)who意為“誰”, 是疑問代詞,用于句首引導(dǎo)特殊疑問句,常用來詢問人物關(guān)系或身份等,其賓格形式是whom。
—Who’s the man? 那個人是誰?
—He’s my uncle. 他是我的叔叔。
(2)who作表語時,常用于“Who+be+主語”結(jié)構(gòu)中,系動詞be隨主語的人稱和數(shù)的變化而變化: 主語是第三人稱單數(shù)時用is,主語是復(fù)數(shù)時用are。
—Who is this man? 這個人是誰?
—He’s Tom’s father. 他是湯姆的父親。
—Who are these girls? 這些女孩是誰?
—They are Joan and Kate. 她們是瓊和凱特。
