一·. Many students ask for advice about how to improve their English.
許多學(xué)生詢問關(guān)于如何提高他們英語的建議。
1.ask for 請(qǐng)求(給予)…...
2.ask sb. for sth.請(qǐng)求某人給予......
3. ask sb. to do sth.要求某人做某事
Eg. 他向老師尋求幫助。
He asks his teacher for help.
老師要求湯姆早點(diǎn)來。
The teacher asks Tom to come earlier.
how to improve their English 是“疑問詞+動(dòng)詞不定式”結(jié)構(gòu), 在句中作介詞about的賓語。
疑問詞how,what,who等后接動(dòng)詞不定式,在句中常作know，teach，understand
decide 等動(dòng)詞或about等介詞的賓語。
【例】We can't decide what to do next. 我們不能決定下一步要做什么。
They are talking about how to get there. 他們正在討論如何到那里。
improve動(dòng)詞,意為“改進(jìn);改善”
名詞improvement意為“提高;改進(jìn);改善 。
【例】We tried to improve ourselves in many ways and we' re glad about our improvement.
我們盡力在很多方面提高自己，我們對(duì)我們的進(jìn)步感到高興。
二. Each time you will learn something new. 每次你都會(huì)學(xué)到新東西。
each time意為“每次”。
【例】He had three tries and failed each time.
他嘗試了三次,每次都失敗了。
【知識(shí)拓展】each time意為“每次”時(shí)，還常用來引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句,相當(dāng)于every time.
【例】Each/Every time I see Kate ,she is singing. 我每次見到凱特,她都在唱歌。
I visit my teacher each/every time I go to Washington.
我每次去華盛頓都會(huì)去看望我的老師。
something new意為“新的東西”。
形容詞new后置，修飾something。
當(dāng)形容詞修飾something ,anything,somebody ,anybody等不定代詞時(shí),形容詞應(yīng)放在它們后面。
【例】Did you get anything special on your birthday?
你生日時(shí)收到了什么特別的東西嗎?
三. I also advise you to talk about the films or songs with your friends.
我還建議你和你的朋友們談?wù)撘幌逻@些電影或歌曲。
【8】advise動(dòng)詞，意為“.....提出意見;忠告;建議"。
advise 的常用結(jié)構(gòu):
(1). advise doing sth. 建議做某事 Nobody advised leaving. 沒有人建議離開。
(2)advise sb. （not）to do sth. 建議某人做某事
They advised us to leave.他們建議我們離開。
(3)advise+賓語+介詞（on/about）.... 在...方面對(duì)某人建議
